Fine Dining

The Kitchen

The expansive main restaurant is named after its centre of attraction – the show kitchen, where an incredibly wide range of gourmet fare is prepared in grand flair to tempt your eyes as well as your taste buds.

A vast selection of Eastern and Western cuisine is yours to try. An extensive a la carte menu is yours to ponder over or there are lavish buffet spreads to feast on. Indeed, you can enjoy something new each day too: Tuesday is Sri Lankan Night Dinner buffet, Thursday, you can watch the ‘Chef in action’; the Saturday BBQ dinner buffet draws visitors both local and foreign proving just why this is one of the finest in Negombo, where restaurants of every kind abound.

Centre Point Grill & Bar

The Centre Point Grill & Bar at Jetwing Blue draws those who wish for a light meal and a relaxed drink in a casual yet classy atmosphere.

A sizzling burger flame grilled to perfection, a large plate of crispy fries, a crunchy salad to make it all seem healthy –helped down with a bottle of cool beer on a perfect day, with blue skies and even bluer seas to complete the picture; and if you do wish to ask for more, the extensive snack and beverage menu will surely tempt you with options.

The Float

One of most popular in Negombo, bars that are as well stocked as The Float is a pleasure to find. All the timeless favourites in spirits, beers and fine wine are yours to imbibe, and it is equally replete with the most popular brands and even some of the rarities.

The Sri Lankan brews too, take their place and their heady charms simply must be savoured to get a real taste of ‘native’ hospitality. A finger of ‘Old Reserve’ on ice with a plate of fiery devilled pork to complement at sundown is a tradition of sorts. Being open from morning till midnight, the drinks of course, are ready to be poured as and when you wish.

The Beach At Negombo

Negombo has a long beach to the north of town that runs along the famous Lewis Place. The beach is extremely wide in places, especially towards the northern end, which makes it ideal for beach volleyball and beach football.

With local advice there are spots where wading is possible in the sea but the sea can however be a bit too rough for comfortable swimming and shelves sharply just offshore.

Facilities

Take a little respite from the seas and the skies and head for a leisurely swim – there are two pools to choose from. The Centre Point pool bar will replenish you with drinks after every lap if you wish. If you want to work out more sweat, there is also a fully equipped gymnasium to chase away those excess calories. Every little thing you may need to make your stay comfortable are yours – from internet service to car rental, childcare to a gift shop where some exotic treasures will tempt you to indulge in some retail therapy too.

"We have returned from an excellent holiday in Sri Lanka.

Elephant Island Tours is a truly customer focused organisation. Our first connect was with Justin in the London Office. He listened carefully to understand our particular needs and apparitions. We were most impressed by his speed of reply, helpful suggestions and advice. The tour fulfilled all our needs. You cannot overestimate the importance of the first contact - Thank you Justin.

The shop window of your organisation was our driver guide Mahendra. He proved to be very knowledgeable and a brilliant driver. He quickly became our friend. He was so helpful in all ways He never let us down. The car was more than adequate for our needs and always clean - Thank you Mahendra."

"I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Sri Lanka where I booked a 6 day overland tour through Elephant Island.

Absolutely faultless. The detailed itinerary put together by Amanda at EI incorporated absolutely everything we wanted to do and gave us a fantastic overview of Sri Lanka, its culture, its wildlife and its history.

Our driver Rohan was exceptional. He drove us with care, explained everything in detail and offered us numerous additional stops for activities such as elephant rides, a look around Kandy market and a trip to Nuwara Eliya. I would make sure, next time I go to Sri Lanka, that I had Rohan driving me around.

If you're going to Sri Lanka you MUST book through EI! The whole process was so smooth and ensured that I had the most amazing time in what is surely one of the world's most beautiful countries."
