Overview
Kandalama: The name has come to symbolise the best in Sri Lankan modern ecological design. Situated at Dambulla, on the southern fringe of the Cultural Triangle, it snakes along a rocky outcrop, in a tropical jungle, overlooked by Kandalama Lake and the Kandalama Hills. Kandalama is barely visible being situated in the middle of the jungle, built into a cliff. Its world class facilities aim for the highest standards Sri Lanka can offer.

Kandalama has 162 guest rooms, comprising 74 Standard Rooms, 84 Deluxe Rooms and 4 Suites. The bedrooms have beautiful timber floors and soft, lush furnishings.

Fine Dining
The main restaurant, Kanchana, is a combined à la carte and buffet restaurant. There are two theme restaurants. The Kaludiya, a fine dining restaurant with an Asian touch, combining the best elements of the Far East and South Asia in both design and cuisine. The Kashyapa Room, is an à la carte restaurant, with a view to celebrating the culture and cuisine of Sri Lanka and South Asia.
Three bars are open until late at night - Kanchana Lounge, Kaludiya Bar and Cafe Kachchan. Other entertainment facilities include live music, cultural shows and piano recitals.

A variety of health and recreational facilities are on offer. These include 3 uniquely designed swimming pools, one basketball and 2 floodlit tennis courts, table tennis, fully equipped gymnasium, cricket, water polo, soccer, billiards, and board games.

Kandalama Spa
An exclusive themed spa is located on the topmost level of the hotel. Best Time To Go
Dambulla’s climate is fairly temperate throughout the year, without extreme variations. Its a great base for watching the Gathering Of Elephants at Minneriya National Park (July-Sept)
