Day 02

Negombo
Paradise Holiday Village

Relax on arrival in Sri Lanka on the wide and sandy beaches of Negombo, only 20 minutes from the Airport. The town has an easygoing, informal atmosphere.

Day 03

Dambulla
Kassapa Lion Rock

Towards the interior lies Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, still very untouristy despite being the island’s most visited attraction. At Dambulla, see Sri Lanka’s greatest works of art, the thousands of paintings and frescoes at The Golden Cave Temple.

Day 04

Kandy
Serene Garden

Early morning is the best time to make the ascent of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, truly one of the Wonders Of The Ancient World. There are fabulous views from the top if you can overcome your vertigo! Travel onwards to the magical town of Kandy, surrounded by mist laden hills and the Temple Of The Buddha’s Tooth.

Day 05

Ella
Ambiante

The journey by Train Through The Hill Country is one of the Great Railway Journeys Of The World, passing cascading waterfalls, Alpine forests and tea estates at 6000 ft above sea level.

Ella has the most wonderful views in the whole of Sri Lanka, through the so-called Ella Gap, a break in the mountains down to the plains below.

Day 06

Yala
Priyankara

Yala National Park is probably the best location in the world to observe Leopards in the wild. On a jeep safari with a tracker you may also encounter large herds of wild Elephants and ferocious Sloth Bears among rock outcrops.

Day 07

Sri Lanka’s Beaches

Beach Stay In Sri Lanka
The Deep South beaches of Sri Lanka attract the majority of independent holidaymakers to the island. There are many affordable beach cabanas, superior guest houses and small hotels at the following resorts:

Hikkaduwa
A youthful West Coast resort that is popular with international surfers with plenty of good snorkelling.

Unawatuna
A reef-protected bay that offers safe swimming in shallow seas throughout the year.

Mirissa
The ‘secret’ beach at Mirissa appeals to those who are looking for an idyllic beach paradise.

Tangalle
Beautiful coconut lined bays and coves that feature simple cabanas on deserted beaches.

Depart Sri Lanka

Depart Sri Lanka – Daytime flights arrive back in UK the same day.

NOTE: You can choose as many beach nights as you require.
