Kandy And The Temple Of The Tooth
Beautifully located in a valley surrounded by hills, Kandy was the last capital of the ancient kings. The ‘Old City’ area with its charming lake contains the Royal Palace complex and a timeless colonial atmosphere.

Visit The Temple Of The Buddha’s Tooth in time for the evening ‘pooja’ when the temple is illuminated with flickering lamps - a magical experience.

Peradeniya Gardens And Its Orchid Houses
One of the finest botanical gardens in the East including an Orchid House with 300 varieties of orchids. Lord Mountbatten’s famous South East Asia Command Headquarters were located inside these gardens during WW 2.

Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage
Set in a pretty riverside location, this is home to the largest group of orphaned Elephants in the world! Most of the 70 animals have been found injured or abandoned in the wild. Baby calves, some only a few weeks old are fed by bottle and the whole herd is then bathed in the adjoining river. A tour highlight for many visitors to Sri Lanka.

Wadduwa And Kalutara Beaches
The world famous tropical beaches of Sri Lanka provide an idyllic backdrop for an end of tour beach stay. The beach resort of Kalutara lies in a scenic setting between a lagoon and the Indian Ocean.

Local excursions possible from Kalutara include Boat Trips On The Kalutara River, Elephant Rides on the beach, the Turtle Hatchery at Kosgoda, Visits To Coral Reefs and first class Watersports in the shallow Kalutara Lagoon.

The Main Restaurant located on the upper level over looks the pool and the ocean with its unique split-level design. The restaurant offers buffet meals or set menus and an A La Carte menu with a selection of sea food delicacies for guests to chooses from.

The Pool Bar located by the lounge area, the Beach Bar situated in the coconut palm gardens, the Air Conditioned Bar with a snooker table near the restaurant and the Club Bar in the sports complex offering an assortment of thirst quenchers.

Sahana Spa

The Sahana Spa is located at the Mermaid Club in a separate complex and offers a range of treatments. The spa facility includes two treatment rooms, reflexology room, sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and changing rooms with bathroom and shower.

Facilities

There are two swimming pools of which the main pool, complete with sun terrace, is located by the lounge at the hotel. This is reserved for swimming and sunbathing. The second pool located at the Mermaid Club is ideal for water polo and water aerobics.

Evening entertainment is arranged daily including live music and cultural shows.
